We all have dined in many restaurants , we eat and we come back , but certain restaurants has the power to create a mark in our heart, not just with the quality of food alone ,besides the generosity of the service as well ,. I am about to tell you about one such place that caught my heart during our food journey in UAE- DOWN TOWN CAFE,DUBAI .
If you are looking for a restaurant located without the hustle and bustle of Dubai city, which has indoor and outdoor dining facilities, then this is the place to be.
The cafe with small reading section is a favorite spot for people who wish to read peacefully with a zip of coffee in between (TIP : not on weekends) .
If you are fancy about wooden decor , golden lights , soft music, perfect ambiance for a chit-chat.. then you should go to Down Town Cafe.
Myself with my husband and little munchkin was there by 6 PM ,the homely aura has already told me “its going to be impressive” ,we picked a spot immediately and started looking the menu …
We commenced with Chicken Crostino ,crisp bread with the palatable chicken toppings, undoubtedly the taste was bang on .
Then came on our table Penne Ducale , though i am not a great admirer of Pasta , but liked to have few bites of creamy white sauce pasta with small chicken bits in between. The accompanying bread was perfect for the cheese dip .
We moved forward for Chicken Portobello one of their specialties .A gratin of Chicken breast with savory Portobello mushrooms accompanied with smashed potatoes and boiled veggies.I felt the chicken was slight dry, however the sauce was way beyond perfection.
In between came the DT(down town) smoothie on table ,blended with strawberry, mango and dry fruits. No doubt this has became my favorite of the night ,If you visiting there i strongly suggest to try this refreshing delicious smoothie .This smoothie can create a symphony in mouth and i am carving for it now !!!
We ended up our meal with irresistible items on menu Desserts ,as always a black forest cake upon my child preference and red velvet cake for us .
A small suggestion ,Menu seems to be captivating for me with the wooden theme design , when i looked inside the menu i felt little clumsy ,confused to finding out the names , may be small size has large no of dishes to accommodate or the font was not apt for the DT lights.Apart from this little small thing rest all was an AWESOME…..
We as a family truly loved this economic food journey with spot on service and certainly be back soon trying out more items on menu.
“Its guaranteed , Down Town Cafe can bring a smile on your face “
See you all in my next food journey 🙂
