Sawadeeca friends !!!
You may wonder what I am talking.. 🙂 , small effect after my Thai food journey.
Sawadeeca means ‘hello’ in Thai.
So guys, here I am happily adding Thai food experience to my food journey from Lemongrass, Abudhabi. Last night me and some fantastic group of media team had met at Lemongrass in Mushrif Mall, Abudhabi to try their newly launched menu. Started in the year 2002 lemongrass claimed to be one of the first restaurants in UAE offering authentic Thai cuisine and all ingredients are sourced directly from Thailand.
Our host clearly explained us in detail each recipe and the inspiration behind it.
People who have tried Thai cuisine are well aware of the fact that the food is so diverse in different forms, in glorious colors giving a punch of sour, sweet, spicy effect to the taste buds. Here we go!!
These are the few things we tried from the newly launched menu.
Started with ‘Lychee Lynchee’ Mocktail , I wish I could rate it 6 out of 5. Try this one if you visit here friends. Each zip is really refreshing and awakening . Followed by ‘Ginger Lemonade’, the allure of this one lies in the perfect balancing of sweet, sour and spicy flavors which is perfect to boost your energy on summer days.
From the Appetizer I have picked one of the Thai prominent ‘Tod Man Pla’, Fried fish ball skewers served with ajad sauce. Glad that Lemongrass introduced this one to their new menu. Just loved the deep fried goodness with tangy taste and the salad. I am happy that my picky eater too loved this .
From Soup – ‘Tom Yum Goong’ clear soup with prawns, lemongrass, galangal, chilli, kaffir lime leaves and mushroom. Can go for it if you love the extra kick of lemon. Also you can prefer your spiciness level, I choose a Mild one.
From Seafood – ‘Talay Pad Chah’.
Wok fried mixed sea food with Chilli and Thai herbs, loved the combination of sea food and herbs.
From Curries, ‘Gaeng Panaeng Ped’.
Creamy curry with roasted duck, chilli, lime leaves and lychee and you can also prefer to have the same curry in Prawns instead of duck. Loved the nutty flavor and new way of trying lychee and duck together. This one too you can give a try.
The Wok – Pad Priew Wan Gai (Pad=stir-fry, Priew=sour, Wan=sweet Gai= chicken), Wok fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce.
Rice-The fried rice with seafood, chilli, garlic and hot basil sauce.
I couldn’t try dessert as my boy was too reluctant to stay there, next time I will be coming to try it. Staffs are really helpful and have great knowledge of the food they serve.Wishing Lemongrass team a successful journey.
