When I dine out, the basic thing I expect is definitely good food and a great ambiance where we can maintain our privacy and spend quality time with family/friends over an economic friendly rate. Today I am going to showcase such a restaurant which has caught in our heart and satisfied all my basic needs, I am talking about Kareem’s restaurant in Ramada Hotel Corniche, Abudhabi.
Whilst having mushrooms like Indian restaurant in the capital claiming to be serving authentic food (though many not) I can tell this is one of kind where you can find aromatic Indian culinary food. Located on the first floor of Ramada, Kareem’s is glorified with Indian decor, colorful lights and wall frames of prominent personalities.
Menu has extensive options with interesting ingredients, so we picked one from each section.
Started with Rolls – ‘Chicken Kathi Kebab Roll’,
When we ordered, thought it’s like normal small roll but this is something so different, comes in large portion with rich filling of chicken, egg, veggies, masala and lemon juice plus potato fries. This was a such a delicious dish that the taste is still on my buds, worth to give a try on your visit. Without any doubt 5/5 for this roll competitive in quality and quantity.
Starters : ‘Kareems Spl Murgh Tandoori ‘– this Kareem’s special golden brown dish was the ‘Star of the night’, ingredients were perfectly balanced served along with veggies and slice of lemon was just bang on. Chicken melts like butter in mouth.
‘Kareems Spl Afgani Murgh’ ; Drizzling in skillet here comes another Kareem’s special with less spiciness compared to the former, best option for children. Chicken was very tender can easily be taken away from bone.
We then tried from Seafood – ‘Jhinga/Prawns Fry’ with Mint dipping.
I felt fried batter was slightly down which lacks flavors & ingredients, however I am sure if they put little more heart to it, this dish can make wonders.
Followed by Main Course –’Butter Naan’, ‘Murgh Dum Biriyani’ & ‘Murgh Lahori’.
Though this was not the best Biriyani, loved the mix of these two combinations along with masala lassi to balance our taste.
Dessert- Malai Frini, light, creamy and sweet chilled rice pudding topped with nuts and dried rose petals.
Thanks Kareem’s for giving us a splendid night with impressive service.
